Prior to working in criminal defence, she has worked for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and as an associate to a Judge of the District Court of Queensland. Emily is passionate about criminal, traffic and domestic violence law, and is dedicated to achieving the best outcome for her clients.

Since embarking on her career as a criminal defence lawyer, Emily has regularly appeared in courts across Queensland. She approaches each new challenge with enthusiasm, and performs every aspect of her job with a high level of attention to detail.

Zynal was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2019 and has exclusively practiced in criminal law since that time. His experience also stems from him working in reputable crime firms in Sydney years before he was admitted to practice. In the second half of 2020 he decided to make the move to Queensland and embark a career in regional-rural legal practice. 

Zynal appears for clients in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts throughout Queensland and NSW. He has experience in representing clients in all types of criminal law matters ranging from minor to serious offences. This includes appearing in bail applications, trials and sentences. He also has experience in traffic and domestic violence law matters. 

He understands that people who go through the criminal justice system face an immense amount of stress and may be at the lowest point of their lives. For Zynal, every case is unique and has its own characteristics. Zynal ensures that he makes clients feel at ease throughout the course of their court proceedings.

Rosalie is an experienced law clerk who assists our lawyers in all facets of criminal law practice. She regularly appears in the Magistrates and District Courts at mentions and instructs barristers at trials and sentences in the higher courts. She undertakes tasks such as brief preparation, legal research and drafting.

Rosalie is caring and confident and takes pride in representing Hans Legal. She is currently in her final year of completing a Bachelor of Laws at the Queensland University of Technology. She has a strong passion for criminal law and intends to pursue a career advocating for those facing criminal charges.

Kate is passionate about the criminal law industry and working in the criminal defence field. She holds the qualification of a Diploma of Crime and Justice and  is currently undertaking a certificate 3 in Business Administration (Legal).
